Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup (table cup) unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 4-6 tablespoons ice water
For the filling:
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the salad:
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Mix the flour and salt together in a large mixing bowl to make the crust. Then, add chilled butter cubes and use either a pastry cutter or your fingers to shuffle them until the mixture looks like coarse sand.
