Balandėliai: Cabbage rolls stuffed with a mixture of ground meat, rice, and onions. They are usually served with tomato sauce and accompanied by potatoes. They are the finest when combined with sour cream and are an excellent choice for a satisfying lunch.

Saltibarsciai (cold beetroot soup): A refreshing summer soup made with beets, buttermilk or kefir, cucumbers, dill, and hard-boiled eggs. It is typically served cold. This beetroot and kefir soup is seasonal and served with boiled potatoes and hard-boiled eggs. It is a dish from Vilnius that the people of Lithuania are incredibly passionate about. One of its more distinctive features is that it is typically served cold as a way to unwind on the rarely scorching Lithuanian summer days.
